Discipleship
Because we believe that Discipleship is ensuring that
every
believer matures in his/her faith for the purpose of honoring
God, by God’s grace we will:
1. Nurture and encourage our pastor, deacons, teachers, and
other spiritually mature members to use their particular
spiritual gifts to lead and encourage less mature believers
in their relationship with Christ.
2. Hold to a Biblical standard of excellent character and
doctrine those who lead and encourage new or less
mature believers.
3. Recognize the Word of God as the supreme authority in
all matters of living.
4. Recognize the Holy Spirit as our supreme enabler as
we learn from one another about living a life that
honors God.
5. Nurture close, personal relationships between the one
leading and the one being led by consistent communication,
role modeling and spending time with each other
6. Equip parents to fulfill their primary responsibility in
training and teaching their children.
