NEXT GENERATION LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE
The NextGen Leadership Initiative seeks to equip, evaluate, and encourage emerging leaders in the work of the Lord. Men and women, who desire to serve the Lord in a variety of ministry contexts, may benefit from NextGen in a variety of ways at Ogletown.
The NextGen Leadership Initiative consists partly of quarterly fellowships where the nuts and bolts of ministry are discussed in an informal setting with pastoral staff.
Pastoral Assistant Program
Ogletown has been able to offer onsite ministry training, experience, and mentoring through the full-time Pastoral Assistant and the part-time Pastoral Intern roles. Additionally, men and women may now pursue seminary preparation without relocating.
THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION & DISTANCE LEARNING
In the Spring of 2017, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary started a modified extension site in Newark, Delaware. Students can enroll in either the Master of Divinity (MDiv) or the Master of Arts (MA) in Theological Studies, take video classes, and benefit from an onsite two-day intensive seminar once a semester taught by an SBTS professor. Students also have the option to meet for guided discussion as a cohort to share resources, ideas, and encouragement.
