APRIL 4-5 | $45 | OGLETOWN

Odds are, we’d all love to experience more joy and peace in our lives. But how often do we believe that it is confession and repentance that lead us there? In Psalm 51 we find that truly, these are the means by which we are renewed and restored! David provides to us an example as he cries out to the Lord:…have mercy on me …wash me…cleanse me….purge me…let me hear joy & gladness…create in me a clean heart…renew a right spirit within me…restore to me the joy of my salvation….uphold me….deliver me.

These cries are a picture of someone desperate for God’s mercy, and they are also essential pieces of moving forward in our own relationship with God. David prays - knowing God is the only one abounding in steadfast love and full of the abundant mercy that he needs…that WE need too!

If we’ve lost our joy, if peace is hard to come by in our lives, let us confess our sins and run to God in repentance and belief. Come as you are. Come find renewal and restoration in the Savior who has mercy, washes clean, and delivers women like us.

This 2-day retreat onsite at Ogletown will include worship, teaching, breakout sessions, and extended times of fellowship and gathering for meals together (cost of dinner, breakfast, lunch, and activities are included in registration cost).

OUR SPEAKER

RAY Brookman

Ray has been a member at Ogletown since 2021. She has been involved in GAP, serving in various ministries, leading women’s studies, as well as working with foster families at Ogletown.

Ray was raised in a Christian home and was a Bible nerd but never truly understood the gospel until she was in her teens.  In His kindness, the Lord opened her eyes to the gospel and He has been working in her life ever since! Her love for His Word has grown and evolved over the years, influenced by her grandmother. “For as long as I can remember, I have always seen her reading her Bible joyfully—she never missed a day. Even now, as her eyesight is failing, she recites all the scriptures she has memorized over the years daily.”

When she’s not busy with her job or grad schoolwork, Ray enjoys listening to theology podcasts, reading, baking, visiting art and history museums, watching every Gordon Ramsay cooking show, and gathering with young adults.

WALKING ALONGSIDE OTHERs ON THE ROAD OF SUFFERING & LOSS

led by Elizabeth Guertin

What don’t I say? Can I offer hope? How? Join this breakout if you want to learn more about how to care for and grow in your understanding of someone who is grieving or suffering and be more equipped to pray and offer hope.

GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR BODY

led by Erin Hogan

You don’t just have a body—you are a body! But what does that mean for how we live? How do we honor and glorify God in our bodies? Scripture tells us, ‘You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body’ (1 Cor. 6:19-20). Our bodies are designed by God and for God, yet culture offers countless messages about sex, body image, fitness, sleep, food, race, having children, disabilities, and aging. How should we think about these things? Join us as we explore the theology of the body and consider how Scripture exhorts us to live in response to God’s great love.
