Curtis hill | senior Pastor

Curtis has served Ogletown as Senior Pastor since 2007.

He was born in Oklahoma, grew up in Augusta, Georgia, and has 6 siblings. He received his graduate degree (M.Div.) at Temple Baptist Seminary (Chattanooga, TN) and completed his doctorate at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY). Prior to coming to Ogletown, he served as an Associate Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He and his wife Shawna have three children, and live in Newark.

Curtis enjoys family time, podcasts, watching the Oklahoma Sooners, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, music of all genres, reading, learning more about history, as well as sports. In the spring time, you might see him coaching at a track meet. He has served on the leadership teams of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware, the Evangelical Minister’s Fellowship (New Castle County), and the Delaware Baptist Association.


Champ thornton | Associate Pastor

Champ began serving as associate pastor at Ogletown in 2012. Growing up in a Christian family, he came to know Christ as Savior while attending a retreat during high school. Champ and his wife, Robben, have been married since 1996 and have three energetic children.

Before coming to Delaware, Champ lived most of his life in the Carolinas. After seminary, he pastored at Grace Bible Church near Spartanburg, South Carolina. In addition to pastoral ministry, Champ co-leads the Delaware Baptist Association and has served as director of SOMA, a ministry training school in Columbus, Ohio. He has also authored several books including The Radical Book for Kids.

Champ enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, drinking coffee, listening to music, and reading theology, biography, and fiction. Some of his favorite authors include John Piper, D. A. Carson, Tim Keller, Jonathan Edwards, David McCullough, Robert Caro, and C. S. Lewis. He has also been known to cheer for the NY Yankees and Tennessee Volunteers.



Evan is a detail and organization guy who loves thinking about how to turn kids into life-long followers of Jesus. His responsibilities include overseeing programs for kids from birth to 5th grade, human resources, general church administration, and missions. In his personal life, you might find him roasting and brewing good coffee and enjoying time with his wife Natalie and 5 children. 



In April 2011, Chris Morris became the Minister to Students (6th-12th grades). He is also one of the worship leaders in the Contemporary worship service.

He is a 2002 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Bible and Secondary History Education. Chris and his beautiful wife, Carrie, have five children.

Chris enjoys watching the Phillies, playing games, building forts, laughing, sleeping, and peace and quiet. Chris loves coming home and getting tackled by his kids!

His life passage is 1 Corinthians 9:19-27.



Carrie joined our staff as Preschool Director in June 2018 after serving as a coordinator in that area for 3 years. 

She graduated from Clarks Summit University with an Associates degree in 1998. She has served in her local church for as long as she can remember and is passionate about helping children learn about their Creator. Her 5 kids give her a personal perspective on preschool ministry and how it can be used as a tool for the Lord in a child’s life. She and her husband Chris have been married since 2004. 

In her spare time she likes to…wait - she has five kids. She doesn’t have spare time.


Paula Richwine | Womens Discipleship coordinator

Paula joined our staff in April 2019 as the Women’s Discipleship Coordinator after serving for nearly two years connecting women at Ogletown by organizing our Women’s Ministry Gather events.

Paula grew up in the Maryland/Delaware area. She attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and continued on to Drexel University to receive a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Paula has worked for the past 10 years in full or part time capacity in Maryland doing outpatient rehabilitation.

Paula also serves on the worship team and volunteers in the preschool department on Sunday mornings. She and her husband Adam have been married since 2008 and have 4 boys - Elim, Keller, Calvin, and Jesse.



Allie is a Delaware native and graduated from the University of Delaware in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. During college, her faith was shaped by Baptist Student Ministry (BSM). BSM is also where she met her husband, Charlie, who she married in 2017.

Allie was previously the intern with BSM and is happy to be returning in a role as College Ministry Coordinator at Ogletown in partnership with BSM. 

Allie is currently working on her Masters of Divinity from Southern Seminary. When she does find free time, she enjoys trying new recipes and new restaurants, watching cooking shows, and any artistic project or activity.




Tyler graduated from the University of Delaware in 2016 with a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, initially with the intent of pursuing a career in law enforcement. However, after graduation he felt led instead to pursue a career in biblical counseling and is currently earning his Masters in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. Much of the inspiration for this career choice came from Tyler’s experiences as a Servant Leader at the Baptist Student Ministry, where he met his wife Debra who also served in leadership. They were married at Ogletown in September of 2017, and in May of 2019 Tyler began working on staff as Pastoral Assistant.

In his spare time, he enjoys both watching and playing sports (especially soccer, basketball, and football), doing puzzles, watching superhero movies (Marvel > DC), and playing games with friends.




SETH ASHER | ADMINISTRATIVE Assistant & Campus Coordinator

Seth joined the OBC team in December of 2015 and currently serves in a number of ways, including operations, events, ministry support, and administration.

Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Seth has long had a passion for God's Word and the Christian Life. He holds a B.A. in New Testament Studies from Oral Roberts University and an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary, and is a current student in the Renovaré Institute for Christian Spiritual Formation.

Seth and his wife, Ginger, are expecting their first child to arrive later this year. They enjoy spending time with family, the great outdoors, traveling, music, games, and delicious coffee. Seth has also been known to get a little too excited about the Oklahoma City Thunder.


Katie Hall | COmmunications Coordinator

Katie has attended OBC since 2001. She was hired to join the team full-time at Ogletown in 2009 serving in a dual role in Communications and Collegiate Ministry. After the birth of her second child in 2012, she shifted to working part-time as the Communications Coordinator.

Since graduating with a B.A. in Graphic Design from Messiah College in 2005, Katie’s love for her church paired with her passion for effective visual communication have provided her with the opportunity to serve the Lord and the church body in creative ways.

Katie was married to her husband, Matt, in 2007 and they have three beautiful and entertaining children. In her spare time, she runs her own photography business and is also a freelance designer. She enjoys exercise, DIY projects, and spending time with her friends and family.


SHAUN marconi | Administrative assistant

Shaun grew up in Indiana and graduated from Taylor University in 2009 with a B.A. in Marketing. He joined the OBC staff in 2012 as the assistant to the senior pastor and has since changed roles to manage communications and IT.

Shaun is passionate about soccer, dark chocolate, and all things technology. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, tv show marathons, and spending time with family.



Sharon was born in Tachikowa AFB, Japan and moved to Delaware when she was 3-years-old. She grew up in the Dover and Magnolia areas and then moved to Newark during her college years. Sharon graduated from Goldey Beacom College and previously worked for JP Morgan Chase. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Daniel, since 1996 and they have 3 children. They have been attending Ogletown Baptist Church since 1999. 

Sharon enjoys spending time with her family, working on home improvement projects, watching HGTV, and listening to Al Mohler and Dave Ramsey podcasts while driving to her children's sports practices and games.
